The 2012 Grant Awards Ceremony was held in the
High School Gym on Wednesday April 11th. All of the students and
faculty, as well as many community members gathered to witness over
$101,000 in grants being awarded! This is a record breaking in both
the amount and number of grants awarded! Thank you to all of our
supporters!

Record-Breaking
Fundraiser!
The Port Aransas Education
Foundation set another money-earning record for itself with its
Mardi Gras fundraising event on Friday, Oct. 5.
“Once again, we are amazed at the generosity of the Port Aransas
Community,” said Wendy Moore, president of the foundation. “We had
another very successful fundraiser and were able to beat our
record-breaking year last year and raise over $120,000!”

Congratulations to
Sharon McKinney!
PAEF congratulates Sharon McKinney, our Port
Aransas High School principal. Texas Association of Secondary School
Principals (TASSP) recently recognized Sharon McKinney as
Outstanding Principal of the Year in the organization’s Region 2,
the coastal area of South Texas. The accolade also makes her
eligible to win the state’s Outstanding Principal of the Year next
summer.
